Hello there! This entry is about Olay's Oil Minimizing toner. This is a mild toner perfect for sensitive skin. However it did gave me a few pimples which kept me wondering why. This is cheap, around Php200+ for a one-size big bottle. Smells nice actually.

Pros:
  • cleans my face
  • very mild
  • affordable
Cons:
  • gave my a few bumps (not for everbody)

Eskinol Classic White Blackhead Prevent Facial Deep Cleanser with Mineral Grains

Net Volume: 225mL
Price: Php67
Made in the Philippines

Ingredients: Water, Alcohol Denat., Potassium Alum, Sorbitol, Perfume, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Menthol

I first purchased a smaller bottle for the purpose of trying it out. Who doesn't know the brand Eskinol? My mom used to use this when I was small.

I use this everday for more than a month now. This variant has crushed "tawas" so it is a little "magaspang" if not rubbed gently. It removes dirt and make up. It made my pimples heal faster. Sadly it did not help remove my pimple scars but I will continue on patronizing this product because it's affordable and it deeply cleans my face.

I will try other variants of Eskinol astringent in the future and compare them with this one.

Avon - Clearskin Blemish Clearing Daily Astringent

Net Volume: 100 mL
Sale Price: Php149          Regular Price: Php189
Made in the Philippines

Ingredients: Water, SD Alcohol 40-B, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Glycolic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Thiodipropionic Acid, Ammonium Hydroxide, Disodium EDTA, Trioxaundecanedioic Acid, Fragrance, Triticum Vulgare (Wheat) Germ Extract,Bambusa Vulgaris Extract, Perilla Ocymoides Leaf Extract

IMO, this should be called a 'toner' than an 'astringent because it is very mild, no stinging effect on my skin. Its active ingredient is Salicylic Acid 1.0%.  It can be used once to three times a day. Nice texture of the skin after application. It takes a few applications to minimize and finally clear out my pimples. I use this together with the soap/facial cleanser of the same brand.

Pros:
  • very mild
  • does not dry up my skin
  • nice texture after application
Cons:
  • makes my skin a little reddish after application
  • does not control oil
Nice product for it's price.
